Use the instructional tapes, books and schools. Cross train- trials, woods, sx during mx, mx during sx. Focus on drills that develop balance.

Practice daily if possible, focusing on technique, not speed. Brake harder and deeper. Always wear all available protective gear so you don't have injury setbacks. :o

Practice with someone better than you to help improve your skills and critique you. Use video and photos for feedback. Photos will sometimes catch details that you miss on video, unless you have slow motion video playback capability. :cool:

Once you learn the basic skills, practice riding motos or woods loops. But, you must still practice specific obstacles at slower speed, over and over, each ride.

The better a rider you are, the better your lap times will be. :D You only get better with proper practice, especially drills. :)
