I like to take really good care of my bikes, like constantly doing maintenance to keep them super fresh. After every ride its strait to cleaning the filter, checking oil, lubing cables, checking spokes, tentioning chain, and first of all washing it down. I love seeing my bikes sitting and looking ready to rip, so what do you guys suggest on doing to get these things spotless clean?
I usually start off by spraying them off to get the mud and junk softened up and loose. Then spraying some simple green 1:1 (not diluted) and going over it with a soft brush. Starting from top like bars, seat and fenders and working my way down to the frame, engine, and swingarm. Then to finish it off, i go over the wheels, spokes, and hubs. I seen some guys with a chain brush but i dont currently have one.. Yet. Then I finish it off by bringing it in the shop and blowing it off with some compressed air and an air gun.
Does anyone use anything special that makes them look any better? Any tips that could be helpful and useful? I seen my buddy with the KX250 "YZrider" uses a little bit of wax stuff and his bike always looks immaculate. Id like too see what other ways there are to make them look great. Keeping in mind I have anodized parts and would like to prevent my red from going pink.

I have always used the Zep Orange degreaser they sell at Home Depot to wash it after spraying all of the heavy mud off. After the bike is dry I spray the engine, frame, handlebars, and suspension down will silicone sealant. The plastic, wheels, and tires get tire shine foam and/or Pledge. It smells as good as it looks
The silicone spray and tire shine/pledge help everything was off easier as well.

I'm a nut for a clean bike and my bikes have 60 hours (250) and 100 hours (350) and when people see me pull them off the trailer they always comment on how they look brand new. Here's my routine....
1. Lightly wash off heavy dirt 2. Soak entire bike for 10-15 minutes with SLICK Offroad Wash 3. Pressure wash with lower pressure electric pressure washer, being very careful around seals and bearings not to force water in. 4. Wipe bike down with micro fiber cloth 5. Spray entire bike (engine, plastics, tires, etc) with Armour-all Tire Shine (aerosol can). Avoid brake disks and seat. 6. Let dry without wiping off - You can wipe down rims and plastics if you prefer. 7. The Armour-all helps repel dirt the next time you go out.
I promise you your bike will look as good as it ever has! Amazing stuff that Armour-all!

Thanks a lot, ill try some of these out. Probably start with the armor all out first. I hear some good things about S100, but its pretty pricey. Is it ok on anodizing? I might try a little and see how it does. Will that clear coat SC1 have to be put on after every ride, or just once?
Im really skeptical on using new cleaning stuff on my bikes since a lot of things are anodized (ex. wheel sets, brakes, ect) and ruining some new RAD matched with D.I.D ST-X rims both anodized would devastate me. The budget is kinda tight, and fading some great looking wheels over just being ignorant would really be a bummer. Any suggestions?
