Heya folks. I'm currently livin' in Wilmington, NC. I hit 50 last Halloween,...but I wanna get back onna bike. Been surfing the S.E. coast for years, but grew up in Northern VA and spent a lotta time in da woods on my '73 TS-250 Suzuki. Currently looking for a nice one 2 at least try and fill her shoes. She was bored 2 her last oversize & would run. I'll just leave it at that 4 now. Mahalo everyone, and Happy New Year!

Welcome! Lots of choices in dirt bikes these days, and you might find something that will suit your needs right here in the classified section. What part of N VA - up around Fredericksburg, or more to the north west Front Royal area?

I learned on '72 Yamaha DT250 and my friend road a Suzuki 250 like yours. This was in 2008. I love those Enduros from the 70's ::up::

My first bike was a Yamaha DT 100 I bought at 10 in 1975 with the engine in a box apart. Bought a Yama Manual had the cylinder borred etc and put her back together and ran great. The memory of riding that bike for the first time was wonderful.

Come on down and ride with us! ::applause::

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you grew up in middle Atlantic motorcross association territory! That is how my motocross "career" (if you want to call it that, LOL) started! we used to race at Aquasco, which I recall was very close to a nuclear plant in Virginia. Or was it southern Maryland? My memory grows dim over the years. We used to race at a little track you might've heard of, "Budds Creek"!

Also used to spend some time at a track owned by "the professor", I think it was called "lake sugar tree"

We also liked dual sports, or "Enduros" as they were known back then. The stable included a Yamaha DT 100, DT 175, DT 250 twin shock, DT 250 mono cross, XT 250, another XT 250, xt350, Honda XL 350 bored out to approximately 420, and of course the current "dual sport" IT 465! I love those enduros!

Once again, welcome aboard
