Hi,

I'm 49 and have been riding a street bike for the last 30 years, but just purchased a 2012 CRF250X to try something new and as a complement to playing lacrosse during the summer. I should have read about how hard it is to work on the carb in this bike before buying it, but finally completed the CCC mods and jetting. I have been to HP and DP once each and am buying a trailer this Saturday. This may be the wrong forum for this question, but if anyone has some private trails near Suwanee that they would be willing to let me practice on (1 or 2 diamond) I can assure you that I will follow your rules and gladly pay for the privilege of using your property. I am not a goon and carry separate motorcycle health insurance.

Thanks,

--John

Welcome to GOR and no, that is an appropriate question. I doubt you'll find someone willing to share their land so good luck.

There's a power line in Suwanee along PTI that used to be pretty popular. If you can ride to it that will work but if trailering there's an excellent chance of police harassment. Don't be mad at them. Most likely they are following orders or responding to a complaint.

Don't be afraid to take the bike to work and leave from there. Make sure it's secure. We used to hit Town Creek ORV (Greensboro) after work on weekdays. Same for Whissenhunt ORV (Dahlonega) but it's more confusing once you get separated, 2-way trails and a bit far for me. Even a mx track is better than sitting on the couch!

The CRF250X is a great bike to get back into it. ::up::

Best,
- c bob
