New guy here living in Canton. Grew up on dirt bikes like KDX's and IT's and haven't ridden in over 20 years - time to get back on the dirt! My wife and I took a fundamentals course at Honda Rider Safety in Alpharetta and she loves it too (thanks Mike!). I'll be looking for some used gear and a way to haul behind a Honda Element - looking forward to meeting some cool dirt riders here!

Welcome! Think you will like it here - lots of good folks...and lots of great places to ride.

Highland Park (our weekend home)
Moto Mountain
The Ridge
Dennis Johnson's place in Wrens (our vacation home!)
Durhamtown

Father's Day (a fellow resident of Canton) has a pretty cool trailer. Very portable (i think it folds up!) and he pulls it behind a smaller SUV and minivan with two bikes.

and per our conversation earlier, I will send you some pictures of the gear. Still hope you can make it out to HP soon. We would love to say hi and show you around.

Welcome neighbor. Like Dixie said, I have a 4x8 folding trailer from Northern Tool (some assembly required) ::smirk:: . It has served me quite well for years. Any small trailer capable of hauling 1 to 2 bikes should be fine. That Element can handle it. I almost bought a SC myself. ::up::

Since you're just getting back on a bike, I recommend Highland Park. It may be a 1hr+ drive, but it's worth it. I make the trip regularly. Trails are well marked and you can work up in trail skill (diamond) ratings. Moto Mtn may be closer but you can easily get over your head in some areas.

Many of us will be at HP at the end of October for the zombie run as volunteers. It's a great way to meet new people. Most of us plan to ride afterwards. Perhaps we will see you there.

Thanks everybody - this looks like a forum with top-notch peeps! I'll look into a northern tool trailer.
