Hey you guys, I'm Josh.
I ran across these forums about a week ago while looking for a bike and liked what I saw so I stuck it in my favorites. Well, I decided to make an account so here I am!
I'm from Douglasville and have been riding dirtbikes and fourwheelers all my life.

However, I've been out of the dirtbike game for a while and want to get back into it! All I've ever owned in the past are four strokes so I'm going to give the two stroke game a try.
Anyways, just wanted to say hello.
::cheers::

Hi Josh - welcome to GOR. My husband and I live in Carrollton. We ride at Highland Park most Saturdays. It's a great place for trails and the track and the folks there are great.

This weekend would be a GREAT time to come check it out. It is time for Demo Days at KTM World and Highland Park! That means most (if not all) of the 2014 "woods" bikes will be there waiting for you to try them out. Two strokes, four strokes, big, small and everything in between. There will be some sweet deals available, plus the remaining 2013's are on sale too...and there are always a good selection of used bikes available too.

Hi Josh ~ Highland Park is in Cedartown... not too inconvenient to Douglasville. It is the most awsome place in the world ::up:: Like Dixie said, come out and try out all the 2014 offroad KTM's and meet everyone... lots of good folks!! There is a thread with more info on here (just ignore that part where me and Dixie hi-jacked it). Welcome to GOR!

RNR - Oh yeah, I'm on the west side of Douglasville so that's now too bad of a drive for a day of riding. I'll go check the thread out. Thanks for the post and it's nice to meet you!

SoutheastRancher - Oh nice, active or alumni? Which school?

PS - Is there a way to multi-quote multiple posts?

HP is an hour from our door to theirs - probably about the same for you. If you want to check it out, go to their website and get directions. They advise against GPS use...gets kinda sketchy.

This weekend will be a great "test drive" to see what the different bikes feel like.

When we go (most Saturdays), we park in the grassy area between the cabins and the fence. We are in a white F150. Sometimes have bikes in back and sometimes in an open trailer. Both have KTM's numbered 114. We would love to introduce you to the people there. If you see us, please stop and say hi. It's always nice to meet new people. We ride with folks of all ages, all skill levels and all bike brands. It is a great mix!

So happy to hear that it's "bike time" again for you.

Here are a few suggestions for some places to ride...

Highland Park - Cedartown, GA
Moto Mountain - Fairmount, GA
The Ridge - Springville, AL
Durhamtown Plantation - Union Point, GA
DJ's place - Wrens (this is not a public riding spot, but if you're an OK person and ask nicely, he's pretty good to let folks come play)

Hp is our "go to spot". We love it and it's an easy drive for us...but all these places are good. We venture out a few times a year .

SAE Josh, Welcome! There are alot of good people on here that will help with any advice you may need.
I also live in Carrollton like Dixie and her husband and my go to spot is also Highland Park. It is a great place to ride! Something for everybody and you should go check out the demo days. I would love to but I crashed my brains out on saturday and have a couple cracked ribs and my left forearm looks like Popeye so I am off the bike for a few weeks. I would like to meet up with you when you get a bike. I still need to meet a few more people off of here myself.

Dixie - Yeah, I've been out to Durhamtown a couple times and they're the same way about using a GPS to get there!
It's Father's Day this weekend so it's a pretty busy weekend, but I'll try to make it out there sometime soon.
Thanks for the list of locations, I'm figuring HP will be my next stop (once I get a bike)!

Aprilia - Thank you, it's nice to meet you! Sounds rough, hope you feel better soon, haha.
And yeah, definitely! I'll be sure to shoot you a PM once I get a bike, before I head out to anywhere.
