Thanks! Start getting your team together for the 6 hour team race on New Years Eve. It will be epic.
Race is 9am - 3pm, then head home for some well deserved party time!

Nice pass Ronnie Matt! ::applause::

You should see what your cousin did in the Red Bull Straight Rhythm. Made PBR proud. Impressive!

Best,

I couldn't make this one. i saw one entry for the ADV class... anyone know what he was riding?

how would the course have been on an ADV/950? I need to get out there and do some riding. My concern would have been if I could even do 5 laps on a big bike. One sighting lap and then 2 two laps "races" probably would do me in. The normal HS at HP I can usually only manage 3 laps in the allotted time before the winners pass me like I'm standing still!

congrats the finishers and winners!

Hey Jeff, the course was challenging with a mix of fast stuff and more technical trails, but everything could be ridden by the beginner classes and an ADV bike. Just takes more energy to wrestle a big bike for 5 laps. ::cheers::

I think the adv guy was on a 701. He seemed to be trucking along pretty good, too.

Thanks c bob. Casey has been beating me all season in SORCS so when I saw the opportunity to steal a win, I had to do it! :D ::cheers::

You could've dropped down a class for a win. ::smirk:: ::smirk::

:D :D ::cheers:: Like someone else we know eh? LOL

I just don't think that would be satisfying. Not sure why people do that. Its like cheating on a test and then celebrating getting an A like you worked hard for it. LOL

I would've never thought I'd see someone drop a class for a fun race. I guess that's just a testament to the caliber of Paul's races people have some to expect.
::cheers:: ::cheers:: again for one of the best courses ever!

Thanks Paul for putting on a great event. Pre-registration was a snap, and the track was awesome! I really like the 2 moto format - kinda like a MX race through the woods. Highly recommend this event!

::cheers:: ::cheers:: again for one of the best courses ever!

We are going to electronic scoring before the 6 hour team race Dec 31, and we will more closely monitor the starting line for people in the wrong class. With electronic scoring, people jumping the start from the row behind will show up as they go through the scoring tent right after the start.

However, we will never catch everything, I still have to rely on the racers to let us know if they see something that's not right, like racers dropping down a class for an HP race. As you say, it's just a fun race, no championship points, etc, so I don't expect to see a lot of shenanigans going on. I guess there are always a few. ::duh::
