The Sandlapper Dual Sport / Enduro is coming this weekend. You can casually ride some sweet trails on Saturday with your street legal dual sport then race different trails for the enduro on Sunday with your racing machine. Ride one event or both!

Columbia Enduro Riders always has the best trails of the season and the weather looks perfect so come on out, enjoy some great BBQ & desserts courtesy of the Hollow Creek Volunteer Fire Dept., fantastic hospitality and some great trail riding.

Sumter? ::duh::

Sandapper was much much better. The sand was tightly compacted with very few Sumter type whoops. Columbia Enduro Riders does a great job year to year mixing up their trails. ::up::

I have almost always done Sandlapper, for like, 30 times. In '13, I was there just a few weeks after a heart attack at Sumter. That's dedication.. Problem is, my racing buddy has shown no interest in going, and I can't do it alone.

Sandlapper was awesome. I really liked that course, maybe my favorite course I have ridden. Lots of very tight trees.

Where's the dual sport results? ::paranoia::

The DS Ride Saturday was great. Got a little dusty and definitely a little warm in the afternoon. But trails were very well marked and lots of fun. 66 miles of riding and probably 50+ was single track. Hard to beat that!!! ::cheer::

Here's a response I got from email . . . .

Quote:
Oh, I understand! It was just frustrating after working so hard. I quit riding for 35 years and only recently got back into it. My wife is supportive but worries so I had not told her about this enduro since she was out of town. When she couldn't call me she got concerned. I need to prove to her I was riding and didn't get this bruised and scratched from a wild weekend with some crazy "other" woman! Just kidding of course! It was a thrill to meet and start 3 rows in front of a life long idol, di// Burleson, though. Of course he blew by me just like he did 37 years ago.

On another note, please accept and pass my compliments along to every member of CERA for a well run and laid out event. Just the right amount of beating me to death broken up by a few open sections to find my breath again. You guys do it right!

One final note, a big thanks to your property owners and the community, especially law enforcement and rescue. Please let them all know how much we as out of town riders appreciate them. See you next year!

Slow old guy having a ball.

A most excellent time! Thanks to everyone (especially the dessert ladies) for all of their hard work. Great trails, great food, wonderful hosts (club, police, fire rescue).
