The property owner requested it from us (GERA) due to the church proximity.

What kind of transponders does setra use now? The same tube type as always?
Thanks.

No, the tubes are gone. The SETRA contract scorer is using the old NEPG type transponder (clear mylar with squiggly circuit). If you don't still have one they're available at registration (I forget what she charges . . . . $15?).

Best,

Is that the same as the transponders that they tried to use at Gobbler Getter this year?

No, the Gobbler transponders were current NEPG/LiveLaps type.

SECCA race is an hour closer to me. But I kind of want to try a Setra race. Decisions decisions.

I'm confused, can't we just all get along and use the same transponder! SECCA it is! ::screwy::

Personally I don't see how a transponder can be a deal breaker when they're around $10 and can be peeled off and re-used time and time again, but whatta I know...

Up here in the great white north of northern WV/southern PA, I've been to 2 different local series and used the sticker-style transponders. Peel one off and put in safe place, put the other on, or use two different helmets if thats an option. No big deal.

Little Brown Jug is always a fine, fun, well organized event. I wouldn't let a measly little transponder deter me from coming out and having fun. Plus some of these transponders use completely different systems. It'd be like trying to use Yamaha OEM parts on a KTM. KnowWutIMean?

Exactly. I have LiveLaps/NEPG and SETRA (old NEPG) transponders on my helmet lid and a tube type SETRA transponder on my chest protector. I think I need a few more . . . .
