Whichever draws the largest crowd is my vote.

I can be there either day.

Agreed. A large turnout will make the race much more fun. Plus I have to look at other things as well. The week of hard work to put on the race is not so bad, but it's financially very difficult to close the Park for the day - especially on a holiday weekend - without a good race turn out to help offset being closed.

If the race is sat Am you can open the park up for sunday & Monday or even sat afternoon for you to get the funds into the park.

Good idea, but there is no opening up the afternoon following the race. The race is from 9am to 3pm, with last folks in around 3:30 - 3:45, then trophies after that. We close at 5pm in the Winter, so we would only be open for maybe 45 minutes. Even that is impossible as it is an all night job with a flashlight to take down all the course marking and ribbons, also all the marking tape and blockades where the course crosses the Perimeter Loops. Also have to tape off all the cut through trails.

It's more work than you might imagine. It also takes almost all night with a flashlight to set up the parts of the course I cannot do ahead of time while we are open for regular riding. Lots of work to put on a 6 hour event with a super long course, before, during, and after, but it's different and fun! ::up::

Sunday will be good. My ability to resist temptation will work in my favor. Hopefully my competitors will over indulge Saturday night. I know of a few of them that already do this on a regular basis regardless of the day. Not naming any names but I saw one of them up chuck Sunday morning at the SORCS race on the side of the trail. ::smirk::

Do you need volunteers to help you with some of this stuff Paul? Let me know if you do, I wouldn't mind helping at all. I can bring the Rhino with me and run around there after the race to help you get things back to normal.
