It's on the HP website calendar now - Sunday, Jan 1. That allows for a Saturday before the race, important for drive time, setting up pit areas, picking up race packages, etc. Especially when about half the riders will be from out of state. Local riders can go back home rather than camp, if they want. Race Sunday, then local riders will be home that evening, and out of towners have an extra day to get home and rest up before work.

Highland Park will be open for regular riding Saturday, Dec 31, closed to regular riding on Sunday, Jan 1 (Team Race), and open again for regular riding Monday Jan 2.

If you did this race last year, you already know the course will be about 16 miles long, run all over the property, and have a little of everything thrown in along the way, but nothing ridiculously hard that will just turn into a blue smoke bottle neck. A four rider team should get 2 laps per rider.

Get your teams together!

would you have a vintage class or Evo class? How many people would be on a team? Thanks

Get some folks to commit and I will add a vintage class! Teams can be one (Ironman), two (Duo), plus teams of 3 or 4 riders.

Teams are 3-4 riders max except duo (2 riders) and Ironman (1 rider.) Oldest and/or fastest rider on the team will dictate the class. (A team composed of two 38 year olds and a 42 year old can ride in the 40+ class, the Expert or Sportsman class. Three C riders and an A rider will ride in the A class.

I think you have it backwards for the age class. You should have to ride the in class of the youngest racer, not the oldest.
Riders have always been able to ride in a younger class, but not an older class.

Correct sir! I don't know how that got changed from last year, it should have been copied and pasted from last year's info, but obviously that did not happen. I will get it fixed right away - thanks!

EDIT: 7:28am - Fixed!

Hey Paul, ever think of having a family class? I know of a few that might go for it if you offer that type. Either way we will probably be there. But would be cool to have a race with the kids.

Hey Paul, I'd like to work this race for you guys. Should I come up early to help mark the course or anything?

What would I need to bring besides my bike and a yellow vest?
