My 1994 XR650L was stolen this weekend from my son's apartment complex near Georgia Tech. Please keep your eyes open. Feel free to open fire. I'll take it back with bullet holes in it.

Oh man I hate that! ::mad::

That looks like a very well taken care of bike too. Very clean. I live about 10 minutes from tech and will keep an eye out. Also, the XR650L is among the list of bikes I religiously check craigslist for.. Seriously, I check almost every day.. So I'll keep alert for anything suspicious.

I keep my bikes outside as well and live in fear of someone snatching one.. It's pretty sad when the bright side is "at least they wont get all three!" ::rant::

I'm sorry for your loss.

Thanks FORR35T and terriblemog. One visual change, it has a black saddleman seat and cover on it now.

Sorry to hear that about the XR650L, I hate thieves. ::rant:: ::rant::
I check Craigslist at least 3 times a day for Honda XR's so if I see the bike I will definitely give you a heads up. Looks like the bike has a clarke 4 or 4.7 gallon tank, the cool dark blue side covers, baffle removed, looks like somg blocked off too, orange fork boots, blue tool bag and renthal bars. Is all of that correct, is their a lowering link on the bike? Those older XR650L's are really hard to come by now a days don't see to many out there. I wish you the best of luck. Hey look on the bright side the bike would not come back with bullet holes because the Honda XR's (beside XR650R) are bullet prof.

Very good eye. 4.7 clarke tank with a special bracket to the frame and no fork boots at this time and the baffle was cut but still in there! Thanks for your help.

UPDATE: ::yippie:: ::yippie:: ::yippie:: My son called me and said that Atlanta PD called and informed him that they arrested someone riding my bike and is now in jail. They said the bike was in great shape and I can get it out of impound. Anyone want to go visit a thief in jail with me?

Just a note, do not cancel your insurance until after you cancel your registration. I was fined 85.00 for "not" having insurance. So far 105.00 for reg and insurance, was told 105 + 10.00 per day storage and another 50.00 if is past 72 hours. Just to get your own property back. ::mad:: I hope it will be home tomorrow.

I'll go. My schedule is flexible.

Here are some pictures of the bike that "was in great shape" according to Atlanta PD. Most plastic broken, missing and/or and resprayed.
