Did you have any battery backup type surveillance equipment rolling?

Sounds like one of those situations you wish you would have had somebody standing guard with a 12gauge and eliminate that problem.

I have a 12 gauge Remington 8 round pump 18" street sweeper, but it lives at HP. Right about now I'm thinking it would be nice to get in some live target practice with it.

r_benner, the existing surveillance equipment had no battery B-Up, so when the power was cut, so was the video, but I doubt we would benefit much from video. These guys left no fingerprints and knew what they were doing.

Hang 'em high?? I'll hang 'em low by their little packages.

r_brenner is my Jewish 2nd cousin. EDIT - fixed the typo!

I know what you mean though about the video. They just don't even care anymore if they're on camera. You'd see 2 or 3 unidentifiable people pushing bikes out. Sorry they got you. Stinks!

Harbor Frieght sells dummy cameras and night vision cameras for REALLY cheap. Some capacitors wired in should let the camera run for another minute after the power is cut.

Keep an eye on craigslist, I'll try to do my best. What models did they steal?

I was broken into last year and had a system installed the next day. Didn't want to take chances, so I paid a little more and go the cellular option. The system is battery backup powered (for several hours), and theives can cut all the power and cable and phone lines they want - police will be dialed up via cell.

Hate this happened to you.

Just a quick search on harbor freight. You really should install some cameras/alarms, ect.

When I was a kid, most of the bike shops had a shop dog that spent the night at the shop. Usually a big dog...

Sucks. They weren't riders for obvious reasons. Bikes will be parted if sold stateside. Frames will go in a lake.
