And yes, the seller really posted the awful photo sideways. I guess it's so powerful he couldn't keep the front end down.

SCAM, first it's an O8, no??

I've seen stupid deals like that with jet ski's when I was hunting them as well. Never even called, they had the same pics in different towns claiming it was from the town the craigslist add was in.

Anyway, that's pretty much what a bogus ad looks like. Unbelievable price is the key point. Wrong year, bad photo, no papers, like new . . . . . all scream scam.

Buyer beware. You could shell out good money only to have the police recover it for it's rightful owner. There's also a good chance this item isn't in the possession of the seller . . . . . but that's another scam.

Best,
- c bob

"NO PAPERWORK! NO QUESTIONS!"

No one that had a stolen motorcycle in their possession would advertise that.

The "seller" is a scam artist fishing for stupid people that will send him money.

There is one rule to selling your bike:
Money in your hand before a test ride. Don't even let them sit on the bike and start it up. You sit on it and start it up for them.

BTW, holding the car keys may not help. I know of two people that were offered the car keys while a test ride was taken, the guy never came back, both times the cars turned out to be stolen.
