You don't have to advertise precisely where you live. I normally post the area I live in, maybe the exit I live off of, but not my exact address. That can be discussed when you've spoken over the phone and a buyer gets serious.

Cute, but LaGrange works good, too. No big deal.

I don't even like buyers coming to my house to see the goods, but that's the way it is.

Pictures more than 30 days old are fraudulent. ::rant::

I've driven hundreds of miles to look at a bike without pics (bought it, too) and met guys at interstate exits. It's all in the "feel".

But yeah, pictures, price & location are going to get the early worms!

Lagrange would work, but you'd still be an hour from my house.

No pictures = no sale for me unless you live within about 30 miles of my home. I've been on too many chase runs that turned out to be beaten, clapped out vehicles (not just dirt bikes). Sellers would assure me that the bike was in "Excellent", or "Like New" condition.

How about don't post the same bike 12 times, each in a different thread?

I'm about ready to call some folks on that that one. ::whatever::

I would also like to note that 50% of the "where are you located" posts can be prevented by clicking the "PROFILE" button at the bottom of each user's post. MANY users have their location in their profile info ::up::

Can we add "Don't bump your ad 3 tmes in the same day" to the list of stupid things NOT to do??? GOR does't have THAT much traffic that it is at risk of not being on the first page after 3 days, much less 3 hours!!! ::rollieyes:: ::rollieyes:: ::rollieyes::

You can tell how serious they are by the effort they put into their photos.
Is "mud" considered an extra?

Is it just me, or is the combination of desperation and a "firm" price a funny combination.

I sold my 250SXF a few weeks ago. Took me about 6 weeks. It's a buyers market. I priced it a couple hundred under the competition. Figured it was worth that to make it sell faster. Which it did. I bought a replacement at a drepressed price too, so it was a wash.

I put my 08 200XCW up for sale back in February. I priced it right and sold it in ONE WEEK! Added 100$ to my earnings and bought a low hour 250SX and the dude(lived near Tampa) even delivered it half way to me.

It IS a buyers market and has been for a while. As a seller it is very beneficial to realize that. People successfully sell bikes on GOR withing 3-4 weeks all the time............because they're clean and priced right ::up::

+1. I have sold three bikes now and had no problems. They were priced right and sold in 3-4 weeks. Presentation is critical, have some good pic's a well written discription and even a good video presentation of the bike running etc...

Sold my 07 ktm in less than 3 days for a very fair price. And usually I won't even talk to a person who lists their price as "firm" and is not willing to work with a buyer at all.
