Hiya everyone.... I am new to the site and had to post here first. We are a family of 6 3 guys and 3 gals.... we all ride but the 4 month old (one day!!!)
My daughters are 8 and 6 and love it as much as our 10 year old son, although I think I will fight for first place in that race....lol
We have over 7 bikes and love the morning we can jump out of bed pick opne out and ride til we can't feel our booties anymore...rofllllll! BUT, big delay on the homefront here....due to a resent move we have no where to ride here :( Does anyone know of anything close to CHattanooga besides the Houston valley trails??
Anyway... just letting ya know we are a family with mom and daughters who ride also....wooo hooooo

ttrfamily6,

Welcome to GOR.

Love to read about all the riders in your family! I am not all that familiar with the Chattanooga area, but I am unaware of any place to ride any closer to you than Houston Valley. Tellico Plains is up there, but not really for beginners.

Not sure how much farther Highland Park is for you:

This is a great place to bring the family. They have a great peewee track and a nice perimeter road that is perfect for the kids and moms to follow along.

Good luck!

You might look into NATRA - North Alabama Trail Riders. They have a really nice club riding area just West of Winchester TN. Some gnarly trails, some easy trails. Check them out and ask questions.
http://natra.dirtrider.net/
Then click "Local Riding" on the left.
Carter Mountain CMRA is the land at Winchester.

Good luck and have fun!

Hey Harley,

Welcome to GOR!

What do your ride and what kind of racing do you do?

Wait, I remember meeting a "Harley" at a SORCS race, is that you?

Wow...

I actually sparked this thread 2 years ago. Well, I bought my wife and daughter bikes a few months ago. We just returned from another trip to DP and had a blast. Luckily we have met some other families that also ride so we can have some girl (girls riding) and boy (boys riding) time.

This was money well spent!!!!!

Well I'm new to GOR but I've been riding for a while (about 9 yrs.)! :D I love it. It is so much fun when you beat some of the guys :P . I race the setra series (KTMmomma knows me). I don't think I will be moved up to expert but I don't care, I can just stay in the novice class, you can call me a sandbagger if you like. :D

You guessed it, it's me. It is too bad you couldn't go to the Sandlapper, I think you missed the best one.

I know, I know! No need to rub it in! :P

That was an awesome tool kit you won at the Cherokee, wasn't it? Way to go on not giving up, like some of those other wimpy men!(it's OK, it's the ladies forum, we can say that in here ;) :D )

yeah I thought that I was going to get by without being called the slowest person there. All the other people I ride with didn't trophy so they had left, but found out later I got the pack and asked why, so I told them. oh well, they were all jealous.

have a 4yr daughter who has been riding since she was 3 - PW50 - was at HP a couple weekends ago - with all the rain - did very well on the peewee track considering how muddy it was. I think we took her training wheel off earlier this year....hasn't stopped her yet.

also have a 5 yrs son - who's jobs seems to be to out shine me....he's been a couple of the 2D's out there and just flew through them like it was nothing
Oldest son is 13yrs....and yes he's just flying....literally.
