I am going to let my two boys race the Family MX series as well. They ride 85's. They've never raced so I will probably put them on the Pee Wee side of things.

I got a little riding in. Just need to twist it on some of the big ones.

Had a blast at the first Durhamtown Family MX saturday until I decided to take a saw dust sample. Finally started jumping the step up in the back, it was pretty easy, and I was feeling it for the finish line jump but it wasn't to be on that day. Pretty busied up in the ribs nothing too serious but I was done for the day.

Hey Mark. I just realized I was camping beside you. I was that guy who had to move his camper to the other side of your trailer because the outlet was wrong on site 8B.

I saw you come off the track shaking your wrist. Sorry you got hurt man. You looked like you were whipping up on those other boys pretty good until that happened.

I may race the next one in 30+ or 40+ if I can convert my bike from XC to SX. My boys have really taken to MX and are not interested in Hare Scrambles at all anymore so I'm going to get back into it so we can all race together again.

I thought that might be you especially after I noticed your SORCS shirt. I should have introduced myself and given you a hand dragging your stuff to the next site.

I guess yall stayed Saturday night too? That will be our plan for the next round.

We did stay Saturday night because the boys didn't get finished racing till about 8ish I think and I didn't want to load up and drag that camper back late at night.

How's your wrist?

No wrist problem. Just a rib type issue on the right side. I thought i took a handlebar to the chest, but no marks on me or my chest protector. It may have just been a good lick on the shoulder and pushed/cracked a rib. Glad the ol collar bone didn't snap.

Oh. I thought you had injured your wrist since you were shaking it when you came off the track. We were wondering what was wrong when you started rolling all the jumps and slowed way down.

Was that you that crashed on the start?

The guy on the KTM, I believe it was, was happy you dropped out, he managed to go from last to first. :D :D

I was wondering what was up with my front end post crash, felt real squirrelly for some reason.

That was another fella that crashed on the first turn hump. We were hauling pretty good to get out of the first turn and he slid out and went down kind of hard and called it a day. I should have gotten first on the day in 30+ with a win in moto 1 and a 2nd in moto 2.

Maybe next month there will be more than 3 in the class.
