Is there an active forum for dirt bike riders in Georgia? This one seems to be pretty dead.

A.) We covered EVERYTHING and ran out of things to say.

B.) Everybody knows everything. No need to discuss further.

Are you looking for info or sideline entertainment?

Best,

Burt, not that I know of. If you find one, I'd love to know about it, and yes, this place is sort of dead most of the time. Mostly just for sale ads, setra points, and fans fighting over who they're a fan of or not. But there are tons of old posts about technique, training and maintenance that you can search through and read if your looking for something in particular or you can just browse the old threads.

If you are on Facebook, there are groups you can join there that are somewhat alive. But even over there its mostly for sale ads or posts about race information.

Unfortunately, GOR isn't what it used to be.

There used to be lots of impromptu ride plans pop up. Like.. "hey.. going to be at HP tomorrow... who's in???". And 6 or 8 people would post/show up and chase each other around for hours. It still happens once in a while though.

I guess other social media channels have pulled people away.

There used to be some really funny stuff going on here too.

I really missed "The Elite". That dude would crack me up!

Mighty Mouse, Jack Fleck, Feng Shui Chuck all made for an interesting read.

Like Scott said, I guess people moved on to other social media outlets....

They were "silenced" by an antifa mob.

There are so many FB groups now, and lots of email lists too, all of which pull from what used to be GOR traffic. Someone mentioned a few posts ago that we still see a lot of For Sale posts, and I have noticed that even in a lot of the FB groups you see the same thing. Posting your item for sale in a known group or forum has some advantages over throwing it on Craig's list.

It would be nice to see more people posting here. I do see a lot of guests browsing GOR, far more than registered folks. Often when someone registers and does post, their first post is a For Sale post.

Yesterday Tomac won the title in the season final race, but still seems to be in a slump, Herlings came over for one race and left after putting the smack down on everyone there, Marvin is still looking like he is going to be the guy with a target on his back in SX, and with all that, there was not one thread started about any of it. In another thread someone mentioned Ryan Dungey, and how quiet GOR is since he retired. Does no one really care about Tomac or Marvin or is the outdoor series without Dungey just not the same? No battle going on?

Did someone say Mighty Mouse? That reminds me, I saw Dr. Dave at the Varsity yesterday. He said he was retired now.

Did you convince the good doctor to come out of retirement? If anyone could , you would be the right man for that job. ::up::

Dungey's retirement is not the reason that GOR is quiet.
My opinion anyway.

The reason GOR is quite is because Dr. Dave, Mighty Mouse, Rustler and others have left the building.

If you say Mighty Mouse three times in a row you might get them to come back but on the other hand you just might divorce your wife by the same means. ( That's and India joke for those not in touch.

It's a shame what Facebook has done to hobby forums. Kind of like what Home Depot did to hardware/lumber/etc. stores.

Some of us don't do that Facebook rodeo. It's a libtard organization that makes billions from mining and selling people's personal data.
