So are we riding this weekend? If so I might put my bike back together . . . .

While installing a new top end I discovered the right side exhaust control valve was out of sync. This was odd because all the match points lined up. Then, after cleaning off the oils & greases I discovered a tiny little hairline crack.

This is odd, I said. Taking a look between the gears it's almost all the way through. With considerable pressure the crack lets the gear turn on the shaft. Not easily but enough to get it all out of wack.

KTM World astonishes me that they have every little part imaginable for a KTM. Always. Well, they don't have this one! Glenn said he'd never had to order one before. It's in stock at the main warehouse though, and on order. I should have it next week.

I did notice top end power was down slightly. I thought the power valve was sticking but it's free as a bird. Now Paul Harvey knows the rest of the story.

But I could put it all back together for a a ride . . . . .

G'day,
- c bob
