I hope they do, but we've had some false hopes in the past. More places to ride is always a good thing. They are also like 45mins from my house too. Easy to go do a 1/2 day ride.

i just wanted to touch base on this since they posted twice today on FB about reopening. first they said they were opening this weekend, and posted a retraction of now Labor day. Along with this post was a article from the Pickens Progress news paper. There was a email address of the writer so i sent him a email. His Name is Dan Pool, and is actually the editor of this news source. He gave me permission to share his return email. It reads as follows:

"Please pass along that the article there is indeed from us. Also please bear in mind that the article is from an interview with the owner. I certainly don’t have the experience with ATVs to make an independent assessment on the condition of the trails but will confirm that the owner says he will be ready to open by Labor Day if not before.

Please keep me posted as it progresses.

Dan Pool, Editor
dpool@pickensprogressonline.com"

Although I'll still have to see it to believe it based on my in person observation from a couple weeks ago. If it not raining when i get home iam going to ride back out there and see if any changes have been made.

Labor Day 20??
Like 2018, 2019, 2037..... ::popcorn::

Don't get me wrong, I really hope it re-opens, but man if they are for real they need a serious PR education.

I follow the thread on Facebook. Every time they change the date, people ask questions & they have yet to respond to a single question. Until it opens & somebody gives and official ride report, I'm still calling it a hoax.

Mog is their test rider. He says once they have all the new Canadian soil plowed right it will reopen. ::geek::

I did ride back up there Friday after work, and took a lot of Pics I ve just been too lazy to up load. Same as before trails all grown up. They did how ever have a lets say ticket both made that wasnt there last time. So on my way back home is stop at Motorcycle Pro Care in Fairmont. He was still there, and he has talked to CB the owner. He said he does intend to open back up, but he like us is unsure when. Kent was his name, an he was a nice guy. He has a really really nice shop there in Fairmont. i never knew it was there. He even has dyno, and all other sorts of cool stuff. A dyno in Fairmont GA.. he would have thought lol

I heard they abandoned the Canadian dirt mix due to cost and are not importing the dirt from China. The problem is, it comes over on a slow boat from China.

It's probably going to be mixed with some Indonesian mulch. It's some of the finest in the world.

Mog, you guys going to be at the SORCS race this weekend? I'm planning on making my debut return there this weekend. Hoping I won't need you to pick me up off the ground again, but I'm still gonna send it! :D ::cheers::

They're ready. But they are only interested in Motocross at the moment. Just like me as a kid. ::duh::

Went up there this past weekend.
There is no sign of them opening again.

Forget all this talk. Lets set up a ride. Need at least 25 bikes.

Ride Moto Mountain, Saturday, Aug 5th, kickstands up at 9:30, rain or shine.

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!
