The Zombie will be held Sunday Oct 22, and I'm going to try a new two moto format, plus add a morning practice lap. There will be lots of new, never before used trail, plus the sections of trail I reserve specifically for HS races. Only a portion of 2 existing trails will be used for this race, all other trail is brand new or pristine race reserved trail! Highland Park will be open that day for regular riding, only the MX track area will be closed off until the race is over.

It looks like this:

9am Adult practice - one lap (about 30 min depending on your speed)
10am Kids race
11am Adult Moto 1 - two laps (about 45 min to 1 hr depending on your speed)
1pm Adult Moto 2 - two laps (about 45 min to 1 hr depending on your speed)

The two motos will be scored separately, but combined together for overall scores in each class, with the second moto being the tie breaker.

Sooo... adult practice, then get a break during the kids race, moto 1, then another break before moto 2. The course is fantastic with all the fresh new trail, and the Hare Scramble only trail that has not been used for 1.5 yrs. 92% woods, 8% MX track. No conga lines, plenty of passing areas in the woods.

As always, we will have plenty of great Zombie trophies, and we encourage racers and spectators to dress up in costume. There will be sections of haunted woods, including zombies and vampires. Trophies for 5 best costumed racers!

Whaddaya think?
