IT was GREAT. A little muddier then we would have liked, but overall it was great.

Most Favorite
The flow trails - main trail was nice could get a decent speed going, small jumps, not very rocky and with yesterday's rain, it traction was great - great rooster tails, front wheel just barely touching the ground, feet on the pegs, sliding kind of traction!
Extras
Bathroom was VERY clean, ditto the parking area.

It was perfect, No DUST! Trail was loamy in spots and of course quite a few water holes on the trails.
Least Favorite
It is a 2 way trail so it can be VERY dangerous on the main trail. Make sure you talk to your kids about not flying to fast on the main trail.
Of course trail maintenance is always an issue as there was a tree on one of the trails that you had to ride around.
Bring a good sense of direction as the trails are not marked very well. Take your time and you will figure out how to get on the main trail and back to the parking lot.
Most Favorite
The trails were really fun and didn't have to ride the same one over and over because there are so many. Trails varied from tight single track to double track jeep trails.
For you AA riders it might be too easy but there were some brutal uphills that only a trials bike could appreciate.
Extras

The trails were in good condition. Some easy some challenging. Easy to get lost, bring a map as none was available at the trailhead except for what is shown on the sign board.
Least Favorite
The signs marking the trails could be better. Two way traffic on the main trail was of some concern, not really the place to blast around blind corners. Nothing against ATV's but there was an annoying jerk on an ATV that had to demonstrate his sliding skills in the parking lot each time he returned from a ride raising all kinds of dust and gravel.
Most Favorite
Much closer to home for me than Highland Park or Durhamtown. Not very crowded on the day I went. Can't beat the price either.

Didn't use the washroom, but the parking lot was nicely graveled and free of trash, despite the idiot on the ATV best effort to spread the gravel even further.

Idiots that race on the two way trails. There was an idiot in a Polaris RZR that was hitting 50 mpg on the main trail and going way too fast around blind curves on the left side of the trail. The idiot had an adult woman and two kids in the RZR. It looked like it was going to be a heli ride for someone.

two way main trails - almost ran into someone because we were going in different directions around a blind curb. Closed after a heavy rain because of mud pits.

We go any time we get a chance because the price is right and the trails are kept up very well. No big jumps - some small ones and whoopees all around. Good to learn on.

To put it plain, It is acres of woods with main tracks and not so main. in the 3 years I have been in a dust bowl, mud pits and nature's effects. From Dacula, Ga., there are FEW places within a days drive to play in the woods. As there are few State/Federal parks to ride, maintenance is up to state paid and volunteers. Comparing this to say Durhamtown Plantation or Highland Park is WAY unfair. $20-$30 vs. $5, I mean come on. Granted the "Ridable acreage" is less and maybe not as well maintained but for $5, I praise it all the way, even with the "Natural obstacles".
Least Favorite
If I have to pick a least point, it would have to be the somewhat limited "trails" and 2 way traffic, could be VERY dangerous, depending on the yahoos there.

#3 The foliage which falls in the Autumn. It is NATURAL...we should appreciate and deal with it.

The track is too darn small. Whoever designed it had Bikes in mind and not ATV's. The main stretch in is wide enough, but once you get on a trail it keeps getting narrower. I had to turn around three times because my tires wouldn't fit between two trees. Also, that stupid bridge in the picture couldn't be crossed with an ATV, had to turn around there too.

Just a quick note to everyone...Theres a HUGE hornets nest located underneath the awning of the bill board next to the pay box.

Do not take your bike/atv near there unless youre driving past it on your way to the trail head. I discovered them when I went to pay and left my bike idling next to the billboard which (needless to say) really ticked them off.

Trails werent very well maintained at all (even for state property). There were several areas where trees were down across the trails and we either had to figure a way around them, or turn around. There were also trails that were identified for 4-wheeler use that we discovered were WAY too narrow for 4-wheelers. If youre looking for a laid back day of riding with your family, this wasnt the place. Too many areas that require 4-wheelers to pick their way through, whereas the dirt bikes can go right through with no problems. This causes conjestion on the loop.

Most of the trails are in good condition. The steeper trails have some erosion but all are easily passable.

The two way traffic is the biggest problem. My wife and I had several head on encounters with fast moving dirt bikes and sport ATVs. There are many blind curves. We ran with our headlights on and went real slow on the curves. There also is a mixture of trail signs. It seems that at some point they made number changes but did not take down all the old signs so there are a mixture of signs that to some were a little confusing. The place is not big enough to get really lost so no big worry.
Most Favorite
The mountain scenery is very nice. There were not any spots that we found with long range mountain views but the woods and terrain is very scenic.

The parking is fine. The single vehicle entry/exit could be a problem. The bathrooms were typical forest service. Not any worse than any others I have visited.

I need to start by saying this was only my 2nd time riding in 20 years (the first was Durhamdown), even 20 years ago, I did not have a bike and never rode trails. The main trail or road was great, there are a lot of little jumps and berms, two way traffic wasn't too bad as there was not a lot of people. I found the trails off the main "road" very challenging, I met a couple of other guys while there and without their help (and tutoring), I would not have attempted many after the first go around. The two I really liked and will continue to use for practice are at the end of the two main "roads", both trails have a good mix of up and downhills (ruts and rocks). I have a 13 year old daughter that is just starting out and she would have found all but the main "road" too difficult or does not yet have the confidence to try.

I really do not have a bad thing to say. It was extremely dry and dusty, but it would have been the same anywhere on a hot June day.
