Power
Yamaha had a service bulleting out for this bike with some great hop up tips. Exhaust port was raised and all ports where knife-edged. Also installed Answer Products spark arrestor. Mods made a big improvement, it would pull 2-3 bike lenghts through the gears on a '79 IT-I75F (G and H models where slower that E and F models).
Suspension
Good for all around riding, a bit soft for any type of MX jumps, etc.
Brakes
Excellent, little chatter in rear but overall high marks.
Comments
Excellent bike, extremely light weight and very easy to throw around. If you can find a used one in good condition, you can't go wrong with it as a play bike.

Power
Fast. Good acceleration, but lacking some in top end. Peaky power band, like most two strokes. Definitely have to stay on the pipe.
Suspension
Decent, considering how old the thing is. Handles the rough pretty well.
Brakes
Ok. Rear seems to lock up pretty quickly.
Comments
Hard to find parts for. The dealers can't seem to get it right on the first try when you need to order stuff. If you can find one cheap, and in good condition, it's worth the money. Makes a good trail bike.

Power
This bike has a good range of power. It has healthy low-mid range power, and a bit of high end power. In the higher gears it performs more like a motocross bike then just a normal trail bike.
Suspension
The suspension on this bike is nice and is hard to bottom out on. The rear and front suspension were designed out well.
Brakes
The brakes are fine, considering they're drum breaks.
Comments
Overall this bike is great. Learning on this bike is pretty easy, and was originally designed for cross country competition. It's a great bike for a teen to an adult.
