Tale of Two ITs (Score:1)
Power
The first one: absolutely no bottom! It was piped, milled and ported, and had the juice to race a 250 on a short or long straight, but there was a severe lack of bottom
IT2: Stock. ran good, had bottom, decent mid, the top is where she shined tho.
Ergonomics
On both, the Egros were weird to me. I ride in a forward position, and the IT's tank just didn't feel right. Bars were nice, I could reach everything and I just needed to move the shifter down one click on the first one I rode
Suspension, Front
Both: Stock. little soft for me, but just right for my friend with the all stock IT
Suspension, Rear
IT1: too soft! It got me into more trouble than any other shock!
IT2: still too soft, but it's harder than the other one
Brakes
Nothing usable!
Comments
Good woods bike. Just toss stiffer suspension on!

Power
it has great power especially in mid range rpms. if u get the carb tuned up good it will have a lot more throttle response and will take off way better.
Suspension
its ok...i have mine kinda tight so its good over medium jumps, but will buck around in small ruts. needs some preload
Brakes
they're ok...but they are drums
Comments
very good when running but sometimes the maintainence needed is a big pain.

Power
Real good, alot of power P*ss over any 90 XR 200- and even 250 if your a good rider.
Suspension
Front: OK its soaks up the bumps alright.

Rear: Great rear suspension, its even better as you can adjust it.
Brakes
Rear: real good for drum.
Front: it works, but not great
Comments
Make sure when on a trail ride you take a spare spark plug, You cant clean them because they fry them so make sure you take a spare one with ya.

Power
The acceleration is pretty good , but once you get to the higher gear the bike really takes off.
Suspension
The suspension is...ok, but it could be better.
Brakes
Mine aren't, but I am sure if you purchase new ones, they'd be pretty good.
Comments
The bike is pretty good if you make sure the engines running well and if you take good care of it. Purchased at $350 and fixed up to be worth $800-$900... Id give it a B

Power
heaps of it, good strong bottem end followed by a decent midrange, after this the bike has a wild top end
Suspension
good for forestry riding on the fast fire trails, but kiddies if u wish to jump this thing then be prepared to go to a specialist to see about joint therapy for your injured wrists, knees lowerbakk and neck and maybe spend some money on paint for the frame underneath
Brakes
just choose a negative word and utilize it in a negative sentance about brakes on 84 IT 200
