Last of Yamaha's great 2 strokes (Score:1)
Power
Has a low end slugishness with stock jetting. Improved response by leaning out pilot jet. Top end power is good. Bike I rode had aftermarket reeds and FMF Fatty pipe.
Ergonomics
Bike was a little short for me until I installed a tall seat foam. Controls are typical. Bike seams a little wide until you get used to it.
Suspension, Front
Stock suspension is typical for this age of Japanese bile.
Suspension, Rear
Rear suspension is OK for a linkage type monoshock.
Brakes
Brakes are good.
Comments
Very good bike for this era Japanese 2 stroke. I prefer over Suzuki and Kawasaki bikes of this vintage.

WR250 (Score:1)
Power
Intoxicating power hit...pull wheelies in any gear and loves to power slide.
Ergonomics
Tall and thin bike...makes for tough slow rough riding at my height.
Suspension, Front
Stiff...takes big hits well.
Suspension, Rear
Doesn't track as well as hoped....needed to be softened up a bit.
Brakes
Does the job just fine.
Comments
Great enduro bike. Very fast...loves climbing hills. Scary for a beginner but wonderful if you've had a lot of riding time. This bike forces you to ride it hard...you will be tired when the day is over....from grinning all day.

plenty of it. right off the bottom it could use alittle more snap but it is a 2stroke.
Suspension
Mine's been set up a little too firm in the front, but its good sometimes
Brakes
ample if theyre in good condition
Comments
bulletproof enduro bike. gearbox gets a little clunky though.
