good bike (Score:1)
Power
good power, real good bottom end. top end could use some more power.
Ergonomics
good feel. dont like the rubber cones in the triple clamps for the handlebar.
Suspension, Front
im not a suspension guy so i cant really say. feels like i need to soften them up though it does want to plow sometimes.
Suspension, Rear
feels good i havent bottomed to much
Brakes
brakes are good. slows the bike down pretty quickly. had to adjust the petal to my riding style which was a pain. and had to adjust the front brake so it would flip the bike when pulled hard.
Comments
as with any used bike, you always have to get all the gremlins out of it. as the case was with this bike. but now the bike is a good powerful bike. havent had any major problems in a while. but if i had to choose between this 250 and my old 93 cr 250. hands down the 93 honda cr 250, far better bike.

Power
brilliant low end power and gets stronger towards mid range, absolutley no top end power...but who on a race track needs 5th gear all the time?
Suspension
Yeah, ok... a bit unbalenced as front are a bit stiff and back is a bit soft, overall fairly decent for racing/ jumping
Brakes
what brakes??? kawasaki we need to stop on a bike this powerful!!

I weigh 230,geared the bike to 15/50 to cure the hit in the tight, put in boyesen pro series reeds, cut 22mm(7/8inch) from the muffler and she comes on the pipe wicked and revs longer.Great power to the upper mid then falls a little flat.Outpulls most modern bikes, still!!!
Suspension
Very good suspension,i`ve put heavier springs, race tech gold valves in the front, tracks well.If i go mx`ing i up the compression and rebound a couple of clicks, the opposite if i go enduro or x/country.
Brakes
Good to very good.
Comments
If you want her to rev a bit quicker put in a wiseco flat top, refer to eric gore`s spec`s for the head.
To rev a bit longer raise and widen the exhaust port and raise the sub ports to 38mm from the top of barrel,i haven`t done these yet but next rebuild i will.
Go to a 7 series(bp7ev or g) plug to give clean running when playing about on it,but don`t hold her flat forever if she`s too lean on top with this plug
rating a 97 bike for the present i`ll give her 90%,but for her day i`ll give her 110%

The bottom end is absolutely amazing. I am extremely impressed that I'm still running stock exhaust and silencer. Also, great top end power..however, the speed isn't quite there as was on my KX125 May have to do some adjusting of sprockets.
Suspension
Excellent. Thank you Pro Action.
Brakes
Top of the line. Always keep good brakes...especially front brakes.
Comments
I am very satisfied with this bike. I do not ride much motocross, so the bottom end power is just what I need for the woods. Also, you gotta love the handling of a Kawasaki KX. God bless you guys.

Power
My bike is completely stock - no pipe, reeds, or silencer mods.

It has a nice low-end grunt that pulls into a very respectable mid-range hit. This makes for an excellent transition bike from my previous KX500.
Suspension
The shock works ok for a 180 pound rider, however the forks are definately undersprung (stock spring rate for a 160 pound rider). I will go with stiffer springs up front to see how well that works.

I'll never figure out why a manufacturer allows a model to ship out with mismatched spring rates.
Brakes
Front: Adequate. I have read many instances of riders re-routing the front brake line to acheive better grabbing power. It's fine for now however.

Rear: Excellent.
Comments
This is a really fun bike. It's good for my occassional trail ride, and great on the track.
