Power
Excellent, I would challenge any other 80 out there.
Suspension
Ok, it's getting older.
Brakes
Good, wont stop on a dime but they work fine.
Comments
I raced my buddy on a 79'CR 125 elsinore and blew right by him. My 80 had been bored though.

Power
this bike was all low and mid,no top end at all, yamaha copied the power band from the 85 kx,good for novices
Suspension
soft at both ends, damped well though, stiffer springs and it worked good
Brakes
good for the time, front was not as powerful as the cr or kx,the rear drum was just as good as all the other 86 mini's
Comments
this bike was better for the smaller rider or beginner racer, the cr and rm were alittle bigger and the kx was alot bigger, this bike pretty much stayed the same till 93,would make a good trail bike for kids to learn on

Has very bad low end. you have to rev it very high to get it going. But the mid and top end are good.
Suspension

Brakes
ok. The front disc are perfect but the back are a little weak.
Comments
