Power
Great power for a 250, has just enough to not scare the crap out of you in the woods but still ample for good dune rides. Has an exceptionally high red line.
Suspension
Very good for the time, air adjustable up front, and as we all know you can't beat Hondas pro-link rear.
Brakes
Very poor even for the year. Drum front and rear, with cable acctuated rear. Sloppy and short lived. Not at all a testament to the bike.
Comments
Great beginners bike because of its tame yet satisfying powerband, and because buying one used means sooner than later the beginner will get to learn how to do major engine repair. Seriously if you by one used put a cam, timing chain, cam gear, and chain tensioner put in befor you actully ride it. I've had many of these particular bikes just because people don't want to fix them after they grenade. They all do it so just put the money out up front and they'll ride like a Honda for another 22 years.

Power
pretty good overall power,can beat a 2002 xr200 easily
Suspension
front, air (alright)

back is alright
Brakes
front is terrible but is alright if adjusted correctly.

back is good but weird it is a cable, it broke but i fixed it!
Comments
I am 14 & when I got mine it smoked bad as & timing was a little off i got it a second hand over size pistin, new rings & a rebore i think something like 0.06 over bore or 0.03. For some mystrerious reason i got the timing right. It goes really good now but i'm going to sell for $1300 ono (nz$) and buy a 2 stroke.
