Power
struggles off bottom end a little. Nice midrange hit and keeps pulling clear up into high peak rpm's.
Suspension
suspension is excellent. little stiff for the small stuff but in whoops and jumps it is perfect
Brakes
very good. on the touchy side but once your used to them they make you confident.
Comments
Love the bike, motor needs a tiny bit of work but everything else is spot on. Honda's attention to detail is a cut above the rest.

2000 - 2002 Update: Stock: Suffers from lack of bottom & top.

Fixes: Best reed block assembly 2000 moto tassinari delta V 2. 2001 model suffers from reduced intake including the 2002. 1HP Gain.
Experienced Mod: Drilling to fit 2000 YZ 125 reeds and intake - cage not needed OEM works. 1HP Gain with a nice hit in the mid.

Piston: Stock too much clearance replace with aftermarket asap. Damange to bore could happen if oem top ends are not properly maintained. If you run a husqvarna vertex piston bottom end incases, less clearance crank case pressure increase. Must run race gas or install two head gaskets or head mods done. Bike will ping if not done.

Silencer mods: Run a shorty silencer with this mod. It is the best silencer for this bike.

38 MM Carb: Gain 1 HP on top end bottom and mid improve alittle overall 1HP gain. Stock air boot works.

Case fix: 2000 model only fixed in '01
Cases need to be machined to fix case casting flaws. Causing blockage in the reed block to intake ports.

Power
The bike pulls so fast mid range.
But..does not last very long.
it has little or no bottom end power.
This can be fixed with a FMF Fatty or SST Pipe and FMF Silencer.
Any Aftermarket Pipe and Silencer will help the power, besides the bottom end it hauls ass!
Suspension
I have not hit many huge jumps.
Just some small ones but it is awesome so nice love jumping this thing so sweet!
Brakes
WOW! Awesome break, Be carefull though they will throw you over bars.
They are great you need to stop they will, and they will do it fast!
Comments
Pros: good mid range, fast looks great runs smooth starts good.
Cons:Cheap Bars needs some new ones, no bottom end power for hill climbs and trails.

Overall: it is a great bike i love it would buy it again, Fast reliable fun has a Friendly Powerband

Power
Power is very thin but powerful. It's flat from low to mid compared to 95-older models, but frickin lights up on top. If you're in the powerband, you holeshot. It's easy to slip off though. It's the kind of power that makes you exhausted quick. It needs porting it's clear.
Suspension
The fork is perfect on everything but small stuff. Another thing to make you tired quick. The shock is good once dialed to stop swaping on jumps.
Brakes
They're good, just as others. Everybody else has had time to catch-up now.
Comments
The new powervalve system is genius. It's hard to get to the carb to re-jet compared to other brands.

Power
Terrible power. I sold my first 00' CR125 and bought another because I thought there was something wrong with it only to find out the other one was just as bad! This was done after extensive jetting and tuning. I rode my CR and YZ back to back and the YZ felt like a 250 compared to the CR. It was that slow. I could not race the CR.
Suspension
Fair suspension, about the same as the YZ. Maybe a tiny bit better. But it might feel better because the CR is so much slower than the YZ.
Brakes
Great brakes.
Comments
Not a good bike. Looks good with the aluminum frame but don't let that fool you. VERY slow. If you want a fast good bike get a YZ. They really are the best. I sold both 00' CRs and keep my 99' YZ125, it's better all the way around.

Power
Awesome midrange and very good top-end. Pro-reeds really help the top-end overrev. A 53 tooth rear sprocket is a must. Jetting is spot on as shown here - Main: 350 Pilot: 45 Needle: stock Airscrew: 1 1/4 The above settings are used in Atlanta @approximatly 1000 ft and 70 degrees.
Suspension
Awesome for jumping, good bottoming resistance. Suffers from lack of initial plushness. Vibration is bad.
Brakes
Awesome!!!

Power
Weak bottom end with very strong midrange and decent top end. Great for shootin you out of corners.
Suspension
Excellent although on the stiff side. Great for heavier or faster riders.
Brakes
The best.
Comments
This bike must be kept on the pipe to make any power, but the power starts fairly low in the midrange so it is not too difficult.Handling is excellent. We still need to do some jetting changes but the engine is VERY strong in the midrange. Overall this bike is easy to ride.
