Power
MotoMike here again (this time posting about a Honda - I know strange after putting reviews for two kx80s and one kx125),yet this bike was my brother's who lent it to me during the summer of 1997 to get back into the race circuit after being out of it for 5 years prior. This bike was bough brand new however, alot of modifications were done to it because of my brother becoming a full-time AMA mechanic. This bikes power was probably the most potent I had ever felt.I have heard stories where you hear about "it lifted it's front wheel all the way to 4th gear" and so on,yet this bike literally did even to 5th gear.It had so much low/mid and top end that this bike literally caught rm250s and also a few cr250s in the straights on a few practice tracks we went to.Yet again this could have been attributed to the motorwork my brother had done as well as all the aftermarket accessories from his AMA team that went into this,so I don't really know what a stock 1995 cr125 would feel like yet I never liked Hondas (and still cringe when I hear the word "cr125") but this bike was just incredible enough to have me change my entire outlook and to now have respect for Honda's from this point onward.
Suspension
It wasn't stock so I cannot comment on it,my brother had thrown on it "Pro-action" suspension which was just amazing in itself!,very impressive, but I can't comment on the stock suspension since it wasn't stock.
Brakes
No problems here with it,everything was fine, more then what I could ask for.
Comments
This bike felt like I was riding an "aftermarket accessory catalog on two-wheels" during that whole summer of 1997.And I really wouldn't know what else to say about it,This bike was more "mod" and "aftermarket" then a walk through the AMA pit camps. But it did the job exceeded my expectations in the motor department (which is very important to me) and as well as everything else.I still though would have liked to ride a stock 1995 cr 125 back at that time yet for here I will give it a 95,because it was almost exactly perfect what I needed to win with.Im not giving it a 100 because of that top end "pop" I heard every once in awhile and also because im sorry I still just don't like Hondas (I know laugh at me because of it ) :)

I got this thing last fall as my first 125. Since then ive put on a couple things, fatty pipe with dual stage reeds. But it rips and i have easily popped some huge ones in 5th.
Suspension
Its alright, great for dirt. Not really an offroading bike, but it is great once you are rippin around in the pits. Smooth as can be and you can ride over the rythym with no problem
Brakes
The brakes are great, and you need them when you are flying. It stops great but i recomend using the front in high speeds. Perfect for anything.
Comments
It is probably the best bike i will ever get. It is so powerful and looks better than new because i put on all new black plastic with a shiny chrome pipe. Great bike, not for beginners. It will flip you off if it doesnt like you...or if you arent kind

Power
The powerband is so broad and strong that it reminded me of my 99 YZ125. I have to say though that the bike had a FMF rev pipe, the rest was stock. Much better than newer CRs in the low end department. Amazing!!
Suspension
You can pull it through if you fiddle with oil thickness and levels. It is not very versatile and needs work and patience. The shock was just as good as anything.
Brakes
The usual, Hondas are flawless in that department. The other companies were also good at that time except Kawasaki in front.
Comments
The powervalve needs some maintenance if you ride slow; not my problem.
