Balzy for a kids bike. I have fun beating on the thing when i ride it.
Suspension
well... the front are in need of a rebuild i will soon preform. and the back is about the same... but even with that i'm big and it's not too bad...
Brakes
well there is NO back brake on mine it's just not there!?! but the front will do a stand if it had better suspension

Power
It's pretty fast in high gears. Lacks bottom end power, only climbs good in first gear.
Suspension
it was pretty bad when i got it, but when I tried to adjust it it got worse. After about 15 years, the stock suspension is pretty bad
Brakes
poor, i had to adjust the back brakes, i don't even have front brakes, so if i need to stop i'm pretty screwed
Comments
this is a good bike for begginners who can't afford a newer bike, and people who don't like going fast

Power
Fantastic -- I was absurdly oversized for this bike and it never stopped delivering power. The bottom end delivered adequate power, but the burst came in the mid-range. It performed respectable, albeit spontaneous, wheelies in several gears. I seem to remember an incredible, immediate mid-range delivery of power as if you'd flipped a switch, been slapped on the back and been shot from a cannon. This bike was FAST.
Suspension
A 180-pound man could, and did, honestly ride this bike comfortably. I wouldn't recommend a person of such weight jumping it to excessive heights, but it handled small jumps dutifully.
Brakes
Effective, adequate -- for trails and pavement, that is.
Comments
If all of the 1985 CR80s performed like this bike, I can honestly not imagine a better 80cc motocrosser. (Again, I didn't race it.) It kept up reasonably well with a 1989 YZ250 and a KDX200 in most capacities, handled well, withstood years and years of shameful abuse and delivered one of the most immediate ("schizophrenic" might be more appropriate), violent (only in a good way) and effective bursts of power I've ever felt from a two-stroke bike. In my experience, the front wheel didn't rise uncontrollably when the powerband hit in a way that hampered the rider. The bike pictured above looks incorrect in that the wheels seem grotesquely large. The stock 1985 CR80 I rode had smaller wheels. What a bike!
