Absolutely Fantastic (Score: +1, Informative)
Power
Absolutely Awesome. My bike has a Stealhy flywheel weight, a V-Force reed block and reed and thats it. I really dont see you needing to do anything else to it for the woods. Stock pipe gives great bottom end power. This thing is like a tractor through the tight stuff, very XR like, requiring only small amounts of clutch feathering from time to time but nothing bad. It grunts its way up hills even right off idle, its amazing. Then it will rip and roar once you open it up. I just cant say enough about the motor on this bike, its great.
Ergonomics
Excellent, bike feels really good with a set of Pro Tapers on it. Seat is a bit low for my 6'4" frame but I hope to remedy that with a aftermarket tall seat. This is typical for any modern dirtbike.
Suspension, Front
Suspension is excellent on MX and with the clickers all the way makes for a decent to very good off roader stock if your in the 180-190 lb range. A little valve work on it and it will be on par with the most expensive sets available to the public.
Suspension, Rear
Once again.....Suspension is excellent on MX and with the clickers all the way makes for a decent to very good off roader stock if your in the 180-190 lb range. A little valve work on it and it will be on par with the most expensive sets available to the public.
Brakes
Hit them too hard and your gonna be looking back for your bike after you pick yourself up. They are typical Honda units. The best.
Comments
This makes one hell of offroad racer. I put it second to none for all around playtime fun riding too. You can rip on it and it goes slow very well too when equiped with a flywheel weight (cheap way to get excellent woods bike for a fraction of the price of a fancy European model).

I cant say enough good things about it, I am absolutely 100% satisfied with this bike. I would love to have a second one.

Power
The power is strange! You think that is going to die at low rpm, after it gets crazy. You have to learn it well. It's completely different than toys like 2002's KX and YZ's.
Suspension
Danm good. Especcially the front suspension, saved me from loosing my teeth quite a few times. Good for hard ground with rocks.Lay back and it's fun.
Brakes
Really good. The front one is excellent.
Comments

Power
very very powerful, accelerates very hard, very very sensative, will get out of the blocks much fatser than any four stroke ever will(crf450 included), but will peg out sooner than the four strokes, power is very decieving, kind of a hybrid, feels smoth like a four stroke, but pulls out of corners every bit liek a traditional 2 stroke, doesnt make you feel like your being kicked in the pants, but at the same time deleivers every bit as much power as its rivals
Suspension
perfect, honda has really got it right here, once the break in peroid is over, everything settles into a fantastic package, shocks are perfectly coomplimentd by the spring, and will suit amlost every rider. Alluminium frame is the best in the buisness.
Brakes
Front: Excelent, very powerful, will bring your front teeth out if you cant afford the dentist
Rear: Ok the only fault i have with this bike is the rear brakes - For new and average riders like, no conern...for those of you who are goign to ride the bike as hard as it can take you for long extened periods, then you will find the standard brake fluid tends to boil and the brakes almost dissapear, its problem on the 03 model as well, but like i said, its not a cocern unless you plan on racing it at break neck speeds
Comments
One fact about this bike, asthetically(how it looks) its the best bike on the market, no other bike can match it in its appearance. - if i compare it with the CRF450 - it may have less grunt but its far faster out of the blocks, almost 10kg lighter, its also much cheaper, less costly to fix, and you can do more on a motorcross track with it than the CRF450, and its much more mechanically simple. Awsome bike, but in australia, limited to motocross and private riding only due to state govt's tryign to outlaw dirtbikes alltogethor.

For average riders i give this bike a perefct score, couldnt ask for anything better.

For pro riders its in need of a bit of tweaking to be competive, one jet size and a single tooth on the rear would do it

For new/novice riders - i wouldnt recommend it at all, way to much power and ability to turn so fast, very sensitive, make sure your wearing lots of armour and protection.

Power
Scary smooth for a 2 stroke alittle sleepy off the bottom. Excellent mid range exsplosive but yet at the same time not cause of the smooth nature bought on by the power valve. Revs on on top but feels to be lacking alittle bit compared to the YZ. This is the ultimate 250 motor very versatile responds to mods. One of the best mods is a vforce reedblock gives it more of a hit and broads power. Stock jetting is off needs some fine tuning.
Suspension
I'm in love I'm far from the target weight of a 250 rider on the light scale at 135. I thought it was going to be alittle harsh. It was plush stroked smoothly never deflected absorbed and ate up bumps of all sizes. Very wide range of tunability stock. excellent can't complain about anything. It would of been nicer if it was alittle softer just cause of my wieght but thats a personal thing.
Brakes
Honda has the best brakes ever especially the front. Only grab a handful of brake if you want to stop NOW. Rear brake requires frequent fluid changes in your drag the brake alot. Motoul 800 brake fluid is the best fluid to use!! has the highest boiling point of ALL fluids. Use this is your brake and you may never have to touch'em again. Can't claim that for other bikes.
Comments
I normally don't like 250's but I love this 250 I'd gladly buy one.

Power
Smooth, strong, surging power. It doesn't have a hit, so it feels slow sometimes, but it's not. It's very, very fast.
Suspension
Excellent. Both ends.
Brakes
Excellent, but stay on top of the rear brake.
Comments
For me, this is probably the best MX bike built.

Power
Smooth.......scary...........almost four stroke like power. Credit it to the RC Valve (Electronic Powervalve).
This thing is super easy to ride in the woods.
Suspension
The best CR suspension ever!!!!!! Yes boys and girls throw the high tech race forks and shocks away......make sure the ancient fork booted '87 ones go to the dump with them....... they feel super good.
Brakes
Excellent!!!!!Typical Honda.
Comments
This is Lightyears better than any bike there has been or ever will be....... You owe yourself a ride on this bike!!
