Motomike here again (you can check out my other posts about my 1985kx80/1987kx80/1989kx125/1995cr125),and that I got this bike in early 1998,with the help of a former ex-girlfriend (of course im a loser),but wow was this bike great and how I loved it's all out top-end speed and rev.THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR IN A 125 MOTOR! And totall changed my mind about Suzukis from this point onward. It was up to this point that I had heard Suzukis if you sneezed too loud fell apart right in front of you.I Believe that Suzuki also never built such a great 125 like this ever again.Originally I was going to get a 1998 yz125 but that were sold out -completely (thanks to motocross actions praising reviews),and this was the only other obviously competetive choice.I am to this day very glad I had it for the time I did, even if I still wanted to be on KX's again.THis bike though had absolutely NO LOW END whatsoever yet I didn't mind because I wanted an all out top-end with mid-range motor, and this more then met my standards and exceeded them. What an awesome motor!
Suspension
Wow anyone ever test out those front forks they had on this bike for this year? And why didn;t they stick with them? "wow" is the only word I could say in how great they were,up to this point my 1989 kx125 I thought had the best forks, but these out did them night and day, even the back shock (which wasn't as impressive as the front forks) stil did it's job and was impressive as ever.
Brakes
Equally as impressive as the bike itself and always very dependable!
Comments
How I wish I had the bike title put in mind name, when me and my ex brokeup she tok the bike with her :( (sad) and I wish I had more time on it,it was truly an amazing bike, and probably still as equally competetive today on the circuit. If you ever consider getting a used or older rm125 get this 1998! It was just awesome enough that will be the only bike I willl give a 100 too because it was so fast on the top-end (back in 1998 it was only suzuki and yamaha ruling the show in the 125 departments) and kept up (and passed) any other yz125s out on the circuit back then.I could go on and on yet I think you get the point.Long live the memory of the great 1998 rm125! Also nice pic of the bike on this page (I miss it already - anyone know if my ex still has this bike?

Power
It was hard to get power from this bike. The harder you ride the better it get's. Not a trail bike for sure.
Suspension
Perfect forks. I have never had better forks yet, and own a ride all the current bikes. Rear is so so.
Brakes
Excellent brakes
Comments
A surprising bike. At first I hated it. You have to jet it carefully. The bike pushes you to go fast because of the peaky power and nervious handling. This is what a race bike is all about. A very good looking bike as well.

Power
Monster low end and demonic mid range, if its your game it has less top end than some other 125s, I personally couldn't care less, the power band is like a 250! I like low to mid range, it is a good off roader.
Suspension
The front forks are perfect for off roading, I wish suzuki stuck with them, but like everybody else they had to follow the inverted fork movement. The back is perfect.
Brakes
I'm not the right guy to ask about brakes, well they stop you.
Comments
I wish the manufacturers would make more 125s like this, with the emphasis on the low to mid range, it is a sweet bike.
