Power
excellent power in all the ranges! 270cc barrel replaced the original. i still use mine every weekend, it kills my mates 99 cr125 and 98 yz125! full pro-circuit exhaust and completly race tuned, former team green bike.
Suspension
good, uprated my forks to 97 model ones and the rear shocks still standard.
Brakes
awsome stopping power, needs it too!
Comments
what more can i say, the old ones are the best!

Power
With the DG pipe, Wiseco piston, and Boyeseen reeds it has a strong low-mid. If its jetted correctly it has a good top end with some good over rev too. It has a lot of weight in the reciprocting mass (crank, rod, piston, clutch, tranny). So it's nearly impossible to stall and has some good traction.
Suspension
FC did the revalve and respring for the woods. Great feel on rocks and trail junk and just turn in the comp adjusters and you can do some decent jumping.
Brakes
The back is strong and has decent feel. The front feels stiff and does not have the greatest power but its very acceptable. If you squeze it hard it has competitive power though.
Comments
This is my stepfahters bike. It is set up for woods witha DG pipe and Factory Connection suspension. Its a little heavy and it feels heavy in the air but its not too bad of a problem. All bikes in the 80's to mid 90's felt like this. It has 10.1:1 compression so it can be a pain in the ass to start if the air screw is not properly adjusted. It fires in one kick with the air screw adjusted right.

Power
Grunty mid range, and you can short shift to your hearts content. Quite a good woods bike and if you add some flywheel weight you can mistake it for a four stroke! I had to get the porting seen to as well as a pro circuit pipe to liven up the top end. Not quite as electric as the 87 CR, definitely more snappy and unforgiving.
Suspension
I had the front fork springs replaced with the heaviest 125 spring and it's great now.
I had the rear re valved and installed a White Power spring which makes it great in the woods, which is where it spends 99% of its time.
Brakes
Pretty good, I did replace the lines with braided items which improved feel.
Comments
Pretty good machine, even now. I've had it for over 10 years and although I do look at other , newer bikes regularly, I can't part with it!
Good novice/Intermediate machine.
