Power
low-end power is bad (very bad) it takes a long time to get into the power-band (where the bike actually starts to do something) when it finally does get into the power-band the bike revs very high and has a little power, not very much though for the size of the engine.
Ergonomics
the controls are well laid out and are easy to get hold of when driving. It is very unconfortable thuogh and you couldnt go on it for long without having a rest!!!
Suspension, Front
good adjustable forks very good and smooth over the bumps also very good for doing jumps
Suspension, Rear
just the same very good over the bumps and good for jumps.
Brakes
front brakes= very bad take a long time to stop you and they wear out very quickly and need replacing. back brakes= not too bad lock up the back wheel but they do wear out very quick
Comments
good bike for its day not even nearly up to todays standards though and i think a cr, yz, rm, kx, or xr 80 could easily beat this bike in any race!!!

Power
Low end sucks barely none. Mid is ok. Top is cruel. The bike will rev until it brakes. I bought a supertrapp silencer and it added a little more bottom over stock.
Suspension
Probably good for back in 82 but for today they fair. I like the way the forks are air ajustible but its way to easy yo blow seals.
Brakes
Rear is awsome for drum. Front totally sucks.
Comments
The bike is awsome for its age except for its low end being so easy to brake and the front brake being so weak. Whooped my friends 2003 KX100 at a pit.
