Power
It's all top end baby. Keep it rapped up and it will take care of you. Explosive power-band for an air cooled 125, truley Hondas red rocket.
Suspension
If you have the know how of adjusting suspension the front forks are excellent. However, the only rear fix for the rear is a set of Fox Shox, the oil/air adjust kind. And now your suspension is king.
Brakes
The front brake is probably the worst trick Honda has ever inflicted on the consumer sociaty, and I'm a Honda fanatic. The rear works well if adjusted proporly, but don't take it off that groomed track or it's "curtins" for the pathetic little rod that runs the armature.
Comments
OK, lets review, don't leave the track with it, don't EVER leave the track! I have burnt this engine into little tiny unrecognizable peices on nearly every terrain on the planet. Please heed my advice. I let my pal ride who practiclly rides modern 125's for a living and he bring's vintage trophies with it, with no motor trouble. All in all it's a sweet motorcross bike but thats about all. But I guess if you wanted a real range you probably would buy an XR.

Power
Mine doesnt have all that much power. It doesnt go very fast either.
Suspension
It's a little to soft in the front end. It ok for little jumps but if you go to the track i would recomend to get a bit stiffer suspension.
Brakes
Brakes are good if you replace them on a regular basis.
Comments
Its allright if you take the time to fix it right.

No Low end, no mid range, has a fair top end hit
Suspension
Stiff, but for its age fair
Brakes
Poor, but if you can ride who needs top brakes
Comments
I used to race against the red devil when I had a RM125B and the RM killed it. At lest the RM didn't feel like a rigged frame BSA. Still its a fun bike with a explosive top end

Power
A workable powerband that has better low-end and midrange power than the CR 125Ms. Good kick in the upper RPMS. It's really fast when kept on the pipe and shifted quickly.
Suspension
Front forks are harsh at low speeds. Rear suspension is good stock if shocks are in workable shape. But many of these old stocker shocks are sacked out and dripping goop after 22 years. The faster you go, the better the suspension works.
Brakes
The don't inspire confidence but work when squeezed hard out of fear. New shoes don't seem to help. The motor was ahead of the brake technology.
Comments
There are still good numbers of these around. Honda must have sold a lot of them as its introduction was hyped after the 125M's long run. It's reliabe for a 125 and has a classic look to it. It has one of the coolest up-pipes I've seen. Nice bike.

Power
Strange. It had ZIP low-mid. But, it would explode into a serious arm ripping high.
Suspension
I also had Fox Shox installed and that did make a serious diffrence. Front was decent. But, the fork seals blow often.
Brakes
Not so hot. They wouldn't work long. Make sure you have a good stretch to stop if you decide to go fast.
Comments
It is hard to start. It is an awesome bike. But, hard to start. (?) I think I may have an intake leak. But, I'm too lazy to check. :-o

Power
Power can best be described as like
a cherry bomb. No bottom end, explosive
top end.
Suspension
Rear suspension was horrible. I put a
set of FOX AIRSHOX in the rear, which
made a world of difference. The front
suspension was fair.
Brakes
The brakes faded quickly, poor stopping
power.
Comments
The bike was nothing special, but
it was fun to ride, I liked the
explosive power band. If you can find
one in good shape at a reasonable price,
it's worth buying.

Power
No low-end. No mid-end. Boy, when it hits the high-end, HOLD ON FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE!!
Suspension
Good rear from stock. But, I installed FOX Shox and that made it 100 times better. Front suspension is worthless.
Brakes
Neither are any good. If you go fast, Make sure you have enough trail to stop!
Comments
This bike is fast! Why? I don't know! It is faster than any bike I've ever owned. Except my 250. It will blow away a new CR125. Maybe it is cause I've got a Wiseco chrome piston. I don't know. But, it is a worthwhile and fast! If you find one, GET IT!
